Hair Studio: two styling stations with chrome-base black chairs, two black wash basins, mosaic feature wall, yellow velvet bench, and Brooklyn skyline through arched windows.

Built for the hands-on craft.

Solo stylists and small teams who want a real chair without a commission split or a five-year lease.

Mirror, lit

Bauer-bulb back-light + cool overhead — color reads true. No more clients squinting at their roots in a parking-lot LED.

Back-bar, ready

One shampoo chair per studio, hot water on demand. Towels stocked at 12 per booking. You bring your line, we keep the room.

Hood and station, yours

A real station — drawer, towel rack, dryer holster, color tray. Not a folding table. Not someone else's clutter.

The Floor

A walkthrough.

Photos representative — each Hair Studio varies slightly in dimension and natural light. Tour the floor to pick yours.

Hair · FAQ

Quick answers.

Do I need to bring my own product line?
Yes. The studio comes with capes, towels, and back-bar setup — but your shears, color, and product line are yours to bring. Most members use the front-desk locker program to leave their kit on-floor.
How does my client know how to find me?
When you book, you can add your client's contact to the reservation. They get a text 30 minutes before with the address, the floor, and the studio number. Front desk also has them by name.
Can I take payment from my client in the studio?
Yes — your client pays you however you normally take payment (Square, Stripe, Venmo). We charge you for the chair, you charge your client for the service. Two separate transactions.
What's the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your booking. Within 24 hours, the booking is non-refundable but you can move it once at no charge. Two no-shows in a 30-day window pauses your booking privileges until we chat.
Are there same-day bookings?
Yes — Hair studios have a 15-minute lead time. If a chair is open and clean right now, you can book it right now. Tap Book a Studio to see what's open and reserve in seconds.
Can I book the same chair every week?
If you want a guaranteed chair every Tuesday at 10 AM, that's Private Membership — your own door, your own key, the same chair always. Flex is for variable schedules; Private is for fixed ones.
What if I need to host a brand or content day?
Book a Full Day (8 hours) — you get the studio 8 AM to 8 PM, front-desk coordinates arrivals, and you can flow models or clients through without rebooking. Many color-line launches use this.
Have a question Maya didn't cover?
Text the front desk at 718.954.7269, email info@nystudiofactory.com, or just stop by — front desk is staffed 8 AM – 8 PM Mon–Fri, 9–6 Sat.

Also on the floor.

Often booked alongside Hair — most members work across two or three studio types as their book grows.

Walk the floor. Book a tour.
