Booking Policy
How bookings, cancellations & packs work.
Plain-English version of how reservations, refunds, and pack hours behave at NYSF. Effective for all Flex bookings made on or after the date below.

Cancellation refunds
Plans change. Here's what you'll get back depending on when you cancel:
- More than 24 hours before your booking — full refund, no questions.
- Within 24 hours, more than 4 hours out — 50% refund.
- Within 4 hours of start time — non-refundable. If something genuinely came up, call the front desk and we'll do what we can.
Refunds go back to the original payment method within 3–5 business days.
Pack hours
If you cancel a booking that was redeemed against a pack:
- More than 24 hours out — the hours return to your pack and the original expiry stands.
- Within 24 hours — the hours are consumed and don't come back.
All packs (20-hour and otherwise) expire 60 days from the date of purchase. Unused hours don't roll over.
Booking minimums
Some studios have minimum booking lengths so the room makes sense for the work:
- Hair, Nail, Facial & Waxing, Beauty / General — 2-hour minimum Mon–Fri, 3-hour minimum Sat & Sun.
- Massage — 2-hour minimum on the Hourly tier only. Day, Week, and Pack tiers waive the minimum.
- Production studios (Photo, Stage) — 1-hour minimum.
No-shows
Two no-shows in any 30-day window pause your booking privileges until you check in with the front desk. We're not trying to be punitive — empty rooms while other members are waitlisted is the actual issue.
Same-day bookings
Same-day bookings are available with at least 2 hours notice for Beauty studios when the room is open. For Production studios, same-day depends on whether engineering or set support is available — call the front desk.
Member conduct Review
NYSF is a shared building. Treat the space, the staff, and other members the way you'd want a guest to treat you in your own studio. Specific house rules — bring-your-own product, chemical handling, after-hours access, guest policy — are covered in your Terms of Service.
Force majeure & NYSF-side cancellation Review
If NYSF cancels a booking due to building closure, equipment failure, or events outside our control, you'll receive a full refund or a same-value rebooking credit, your choice. This section is being finalized — Joseph reviewing.
Disputes & questions
If something feels wrong with a charge or a refund, email billing@nystudiofactory.com within 30 days. We'd much rather sort it out directly than push you through Square's dispute flow.
