An Interactive Workshop with Yamaha at NY Studio Factory

Join us on Wedneday, June 14th at NY Studio Factory for this one-time special event with Yamaha.

Yamaha product demonstrator Rich Fabrizio will lead an interactive workshop of Yamaha Synthesizers including MONTAGE, MOXF, MX and reface.

Newly announced at NAMM 2016, the latest flagship synthesizer, the Yamaha MONTAGE music synthesizer features sophisticated dynamic control, massive sound creation and a streamlined user interface.

The Motion Control Synthesis Engine unifies and controls two iconic Sound Engines: AWM2 (high-quality waveform and subtractive synthesis) and FM-X (modern, pure Frequency Modulation synthesis). These two engines can be zoned or layered across eight parts in a single MONTAGE Performance. Interact with MONTAGE Performances using Motion Control: a programmable control matrix for creating deep, dynamic and incredibly expressive sound. With Motion Control, you can create new sounds not possible on previous hardware synthesizers.

Also featured will be the MOXF music production synthesizer, the MX music synthesizer and the reface line of mobile mini keyboards.

NYSF Presents Alex Chowaniec GLORIA PATRIA (BURNT ECLIPSE)

Join us for this special event in Bushwick during Armory Arts Week.

NYSF and Andy P. Smith are excited to present Alex Chowaniec: Gloria Patria (Burnt Eclipse), a solo pop-up installation, with musical performance by Ev, during Armory Arts Week, in Bushwick.

Chowaniec's Gloria Patria (Burnt Eclipse) installation is realized through progressive light, as darkness falls at sunset. The image comes to you slowly; in darkness there is discovery.

The democratization of access to art is critical. Chowaniec’s goal is to expand how we achieve this, working in hybrid media (traditional and new) with the conscious goal of creating multiple access points for viewer engagement. Alternative spaces provide a vehicle to change the way we make art, engage with art and reach out to community through flexible sites for exhibition, education and organizing.
